As of this weekend I’m no longer using Ubuntu on my laptop.
Thank you, Canonical, for all the good service provided since 2007, but I could not continue on this journey.
I got tired of all the error messages, subpar hardware compatibility, restrictions of all sorts, Linux version not available, warsaw modules etc.

I’m jumping back on Windows bandwagon now. It’s good to see all the support from equally big tech giants. It took me almost 4 hours to install, update and configure it to my personal taste. I see all icons green, no flags, no exceptions, no bullshit. Even graphics rendering has improved! It feels good to be loved and cared by the giants!

I don’t mind sharing my data with them anymore. 21st century is all fucked up anyway. Let’s stick to SaaS and work harder to pay all those monthly charged premium plans.
I miss LUKS, cron, convert, Ctrl + Alt + T, 15 second system updates. All that was very satisfying from a user perspective. Again: thanks!
Windows is now my new working horse. I like it. I like it because it works.
And tomorrow I’m going to the office just to stick that old HP laserjet printer to an USB port and see the magic happening 🪄. Microsoft and HP will take care of the printer setup on my behalf. Amazing! No more hplip CLI wizard that fails to find the right driver in the final 5% of the installation process. Phew! 😅
