I’ve never read so few books as I do now. After 15 minutes of reading, my mind races back to my projects. So, I’m having to pick the ones I’m really interested in.
I’ve developed a tactic that has been working when I lose sleep: writing. I just go to the living room and start writing whatever I have in mind, with one specific detail: using the worst possible typing interface, my phone. That really slows my thinking down, as I have to fight with thumb-typing. Ideas start to appear one at a time, with not much branching. Everything becomes compartmentalized until it is ephemeral, and then I fall asleep.
